until you get steady shot (lvl 62 i think) all you have to do to get optimal dps is spam multishot (if possible) and arcane shot when possible.
or make use of the old 10-second shooting cycle, but i'd have to search how to do that exactly...- God Emperor of Hunters and Priest Forum Mean Person.

The only real utility of Aimed Shot is as a gateway to Mortal Shots, and some limited utility in PvP.
Edit: you can make a good 20/41/0 Hunter spec. Go ahead and give it a shot.

TKA SomethingI can freely admit that when it comes to the hunter, I am a complete noob. I've gone the mm/bm spec and like it so far, course it has it's flaws. My question is when in a group for anything pre TBC, like ZF or ST is it wrong to used aimed shot? I've tried to find info about the MM spec but must be fairly blind because I can't seem to find much on them. So my gut says that using aimed shot causes a lot of unneeded threat generation on my part, making it a little harder for the tank, is that right? One other question, is MM/BM a good leveling build? I am currently planning on going 41 points into MM to get silencing shot, and then just use the rest of the points in BM to help my pet, but am always open to other better tested ideas. Thanks for any info
